Turnkey Plant
Recycling Plant, WA

SKALA was engaged to design, construct and commission a new C&D recycling system for Eco Resources as their existing plant was at maximum capacity. They required a highly robust and reliable plant with substantial capacity and efficiency improvements.

Our concept design incorporated equipment from leading OEMs such as General Kinematics & Steinert, and featured extensive use of Hardox lining for durability and easy access for operation and maintenance. Apart from specialist vibratory equipment, the entire plant was designed and fabricated in Australia.

Ports & Terminals
Ship Loading & Stockpiling System, NT

SKALA was engaged to design, supply, install and commission a multipurpose ship loading and stockpiling system. Key aspects of the project included the logistical constraints of assembling large ship loading equipment on the mainland in Darwin then barging to Tiwi Islands, and the need to allow for tidal changes with a floating wharf whilst being able to perform a stockpiling function when not ship loading.

This was the first indigenously owned export program in Australia, contributing major economic benefit to the Tiwi Island communities and delivered on time and on budget within 10 months.

Vibrating Screens
Gold Mine, WA

SKALA was engaged by a leading mine sector EPC to design & supply an innovative General Kinematics Two-Mass Vibratory Screen as part of a gold mine restart project. Key features of the equipment selection included the ability of the GK Two-Mass screen to be bespoke and fit within an existing footprint whilst enabling a significant increase in throughput and efficiency and the ability to design the screen to fit within existing support structure.

Compared to traditional competitor options this solution provided a 20% improvement in capacity, as well as substantial construction cost and power savings.
